New Year Resolutiions For 2024 According to Cicely

New Year Goals 2024 | According To CICELY

Hey ATC gang! Welcome back to another post. Happy New Year! We’ve made it to 2024, and I’m feeling reflective about the past year and excited about what’s to come. Last year brought growth and loss, especially losing friends to Sickle Cell. Every year I celebrate feels significant because, according to doctors, I wasn’t supposed to make it past 18.

Reflecting on 2023

Reflecting on 2023, it was a year of both growth and loss. Whether it was through sickness or broken relationships, 2023 was a challenging year for me. Now, as we step into the New Year, I’m contemplating how to approach things differently. In today’s post, I’ve teamed up with Kimberly from Being Kimberly for a collaboration. We share a connection through the ups and downs of parenthood, mental health challenges, and physical ailments.

Goals for 2024

1. Correspondence

One of my primary goals for the new year is to work on my correspondence. I’ve realized that I often delay important tasks, like responding to emails or reaching out to family and friends. To improve my business interactions and personal relationships, I aim to respond within 72 hours.

2. Organizing My Channel

In 2024, I want to bring more structure to my content creation process. While I’ve been spontaneous in the past, I recognize the benefits of having a recording schedule. This will not only help me stay organized but also provide consistency for my audience.

3. Keeping A Clean Home

Maintaining a clean and organized living space is another goal. Despite dealing with the challenges of Sickle Cell, I want to make small changes, like making my bed daily and ensuring the downstairs bathroom is always clean.

4. Parenting

As a parent, I believe in regular check-ins with my children through a monthly report card. I want to work on being more patient in my communication and ensuring quality time with my kids, exploring new activities together.

5. Becoming A Better Partner

Improving my relationship with my boyfriend is a priority. I aim to communicate more effectively and be mindful of my tone. Softening up my communication style is essential for fostering a healthier connection.

6. Bonus Goal: “Soft Girl Era”

Lastly, I want to focus on self-care and enter my “soft girl era.” This involves taking time for basic grooming, like keeping my hair retwisted and practicing facial steaming. It’s about instilling confidence in myself and setting an example for my children.

Conclusion

These are my goals for 2024. I believe in transparency and accountability, so I’d love to hear about your goals too. Let’s support each other on our journeys. Drop a comment below and share your aspirations for the year ahead. Together, we can erase the stigma surrounding Sickle Cell and work towards our best selves.

Until next time, be blessed!
